من العجائب الطبيعية التي تمتاز بها اليمن هو جبل برع الحديده، وهو عبارة عن جبل يتميز بطلائه بالحديد الصخري، ما يجعله
يتميز بشكل ملفت للنظر ولا يشابه أي جبال أخرى في المنطقة. يقع هذا الجبل في محافظة الحديده، ويرتفع إلى حوالي
٦١٠ متر فوق سطح الأرض، وقد استقطب اهتمام المصورين والمستكشفين من جميع أنحاء اليمن، كما أنه يشكل وجهة

تم إعلان المحمية كمحمية برية طبيعية منذ العام 1816، حيث قام
